Urban Butterfly crafts songs portraying images of esoteric travels through life’s fortunate joys with easy-to-relate-to sincerity. Although Urban Butterfly may not be a familiar name to most music listeners in the United States, it should be. To be sure, Urban Butterfly has performed on more European city street corners than in USA cities. That’s where, over time, he learned how to convey ideas of feeling through song. With matter-of-fact, poetic vocals over raw, melody laden guitars, you’ll find stories that somehow seem to be fond memories.  

Urban Butterfly is a self-taught musician. In 1996, he began songwriting and experimenting with home recording. Over the years he has amassed dozens of songs. Since 2002, Urban Butterfly has released two bootlegs: Nothing Left but the Memory and The Life and Times of an Unlikely Rock Star. Presently he is working on self-funded/self-recorded demo that is tentatively titled Sitting Flush While Going Bust. The songs available for download on this website were produced, engineered and recorded by Urban Butterfly at his home studio located in Florida.
